“From the moment we first viewed Meadowcroft we knew it was a lovely place. It felt homely, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. All areas were spotlessly clean and fresh, the lounge a cheery place to be, and the dining room wonderful and bright. It was evident though photographs and craft work in the hall way of the frequent activities that take place for the residents. The care that my Nan received was impeccable. “A warm, (both temperature and atmosphere!) caring environment, where all the staff are friendly, cheerful, constantly mindful of each resident's well being and always ready to help/answer queries. A varied programme of activities is offered, both inside and outside of the home. We cannot praise all the staff enough for how they have made our mother happy and comfortable: the move into the home was such a smooth transition with a minimum of upset to our mother. Thank you seems such an inadequate phrase for how we feel, but thank you - we are so grateful for everything you have done and continue to do.”

The staff love my mom as if she was their own, even though she's challenging at times. They call me wherever there's something I need to know, unlike the care home my mother-in-law lives in. “My mom spent the last 12 years in Meadowcroft care home, I cannot praise this home enough. My mom was looked after by some of the most wonderful carers; they were the reason I slept easy at night. Mom's room was comfortable and cosy and always clean. Food was good and staff very friendly and accommodating. The management went above and beyond, staff that really do care!!! I've been there day and night, I've been kept updated on Mom's health; even times where management returned to the home after working hours to check on my mom so my brother and I could get peace before sleep. I would recommend this home highly, 12yrs is a long time to observe the home and its staff. Not once did we or my mom have had reason to complain. Thank you will never be enough.”

“Meadowcroft is amazing, my mum has been here for over 9 years. Her every need is met. The staff are incredible, and the manager treats every resident with such love and compassion. The meals are freshly cooked, nutritious and tailored for the residents, similar to a 5-star hotel. In these very uncertain times with COVID-19, my family are deeply comforted by the stringent care and attention that is in place. We may not be able to visit at this time, but that is best for our mum and the other residents. These are our loved ones and we know they are in the best hands possible. “I cannot fault Redbrick Court and the care they provide to my mom. Mom has been in Redbrick now for just over two months and has settled in well. “I live in Australia and can't leave the country because of Covid.. I haven't seen my mum in over 2 years now because of it. My sister is her main carer and she desperately needed a break. Mum went into Redbrick Court for one week respite. She was very reluctant to go but oh my... What fantastic care she received! I phoned nearly every day from Australia and the carers/nurses were so kind and obliging. Mum had a fantastic experience and said that she felt like Royalty! The food was marvellous and they looked after her so well. She has no reservations in future to go back there. “My dad went into the home in October 2019 after he was unable to cope at home any more. He suffered from dementia, and it was difficult to find a suitable placement for him. It took him a while to settle, but the staff were absolutely amazing, and soon he trusted them and they looked after him like he was their own family. All I can say is they supported him and my family up until the end, and that was not easy during the lockdown situation. We were allowed to be with him when he died, and I am so grateful for that. “During my mothers stay at Redbrick Court she received the utmost care and compassion, this also extended to the family. The staff went above and beyond their duty during the final weeks of mum's life. We were always made to feel welcome and made to feel we belonged there as a family, we could not have wished for more.”

 

“Our mother, aged 91 but usually independent, required respite care for two weeks following what was probably a small stroke. Only two homes were suggested to us [by local Social Services] as having vacancies for such care of which Redbrick Court was by far the better. The home was impressively clean, the room of generous size and the welcome most warm. Staff were uniformed, smart and did their utmost to relax a rather apprehensive old lady, including the provision of a piece of excellent cake on arrival quite late in the evening. Care was, as far as I could observe, efficient during her stay though there was one referral planned on admission that was not arranged [an omission of no great importance]. Moreover, the staff accommodated mother's wishes and preferences [e.g. taking meals in her room]. Overall, and I have seen plenty of homes when I was a GP, Redbrick Court and it's staff impressed. We, and mother, would be happy for her to return in future should it be necessary.”

“My father was moved to Woodlands Gate straight from hospital. As we knew nothing about the care home we obviously had some concerns but as things have turned out, we had no reason to. My father has dementia and was recovering from pneumonia and the care he has received has been first-class and in the time he has been in the care home the level of recovery he has made is incredible. He has a really nice room with an ensuite and a lovely view overlooking the garden. The staff are excellent and are professional and caring and have been so kind and patient with my father. He is always clean and smart whenever I see him and he is very happy. If ever I have any queries the staff always have time to talk to me and I have learnt so much from them in how best to deal with my father's dementia. My father always enjoys the meals which are varied and well thought out. My father thinks he is in a 5-star hotel and I can see why. The care home has been excellent and I would highly recommend it.”

Mom is looked after very well here, which is a great comfort to myself and siblings. She is always clean and well dressed. From what I have seen, the meals are very good.
